Lindsay Terry

Lindsay Terry has approximately 34 books and resource manuals published. One of his six books of stories behind famous songs went to #11 on the CBA bestseller list, across the United States and Canada. Orders for Lindsay’s works have come from every state in the U.S. and from many other countries and island nations.

Lindsay has been a columnist for Christianity Today in their bimonthly Today’s Christian, and in Pulpit Helps, Salem Communications’ Singing News, and The Communicator. Several other national periodicals often carry his articles, including The Sword of the Lord, and Baptist Bible Tribune. His articles often appear on the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), web sight and Christianity Today’s Today’s Christian Weekly. He has been a song historian for more than 40 years.

A native of Decatur, Alabama, Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Religious Education degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree. He has two honorary degrees. Lindsay and his wife, Marilyn, an award winning artist, have two sons, Drs. Rex and Lance Terry, and one daughter, Mrs. Cliff (Amy) Player. The Terrys have eight grandchildren, and now live on Anastasia Island, near St. Augustine, Florida.

After more than 45 years of service in various leading churches and Christian schools in America, Lindsay and Marilyn retired and built a home on Anastasia Island in the St. Augustine, Florida area. They are actively involved in their local church, Crescent Beach Baptist Church.
